Jesus answered them and GAVE THEM THE SIGN: “When ye therefore shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)...” Mark reported: “But when ye shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand)” Luke's Report TELLS US PLAINLY what we're supposed to "UNDERSTAND": “And WHEN YE SHALL SEE JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES, THEN KNOW that the DESOLATION THEREOF is nigh.” The END-TIME ANNIHILATION of JERUSALEM IS THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION!! (Mat 24:15, Luk 21:20, Mar 13:14) ..... Let's TURN ON THE NEWS and see if armies are CURRENTLY surrounding Jerusalem?? --clark

Why Our Congress Keeps Spending Trillions

My simple theory:
  • The Federal Reserve is willing to print and/or digitize as much money as Congress requests.
  • Congress is the first entity to spend this borrowed money (which was created out of thin air!).
  • Therefore the inflation (that is caused in the process) is not realized at the high government levels.
  • They purchase actual goods and services with this "money" without having to tax us up front.
  • We re-elect these "wonderful" (power-hungry) Santa Clauses' because we get free stuff!

Our government officials KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING and WE are letting them do it!

America: What are we doing to our children??

Our problem is that our saviour told us to "resist not evil". Until that dogma is repudiated God's people can not, and will not, do anything. Chad

Response comment (from Clark):

Good morning Chad.

That is a tough scripture to understand.

I think we need to get hold of the understanding that Jesus Christ (The Messiah of All of Israel) is "the Lamb of God" AND that this same Jesus Christ (The Messiah of All of Israel) is also "the Lion of the tribe of Judah," AKA The King of All of Israel, therefore The King of all Kings!

When Jesus was teaching His disciples to 'resist not evil' he was teaching them about a Life of Perfection:  Total and complete Trust in God (and submission) with no trust in "the arm of flesh" whatsoever.  Anyone who accomplished this would be unspotted: Perfect!  You will note that Jesus summed up this lesson by telling the disciples:

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Mat 5:48)"

So when the Books are opened we find only One who succeeded in fulfilling this command:

"And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.  And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?  And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.  And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.  And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou [The Lamb aka The Lion] art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nationAnd hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth (Rev 5:1-10)"

As "The Lamb of God" Jesus was "perfect" in faith.  Not once did he "live by the sword (by the arm of flesh)."  He is the only son of man that ever accomplished this... the only one worthy to be God's Lamb.  Once offered, once sacrificed: Jesus now stands alone to dispense vengeance:

"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. (Rom 12:19)"

“…He [Jesus] lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone… (John 8:7)”

Jesus is the only one "without sin" among us!  He will cast the stones.   Our King, The Lion of Judah, is opening that book with the 7 Seals, by which Great Tribulation is coming upon the world (Rev Chaps 6, 7, & 8).

So where does that leave us sinners?  Are we supposed to lie down and allow evil to tread us to shreds as we “resist not evil?”

We are commanded to love God and love our neighbour (as ourselves... including our enemies).  The directive to "resist not evil... Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" has only been accomplished once, by Christ!

This commandment, to love our neighbor, is explained further:

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets (Mat 7:12).”

“And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise (Luk 6:31).”

Speaking for myself:
Whenever I may be in power, affecting the lives of my fellow citizens, and if I become corrupt…  I expect to be chastised, rebuked, removed and even destroyed if necessary

As we follow Christ, with His Wisdom, let's do justice to each other as we would have justice done unto us... friends and enemies alike!

We're blessed that we don't have to fulfill the "perfect" requirement... It's done!
