Jesus answered them and GAVE THEM THE SIGN: “When ye therefore shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)...” Mark reported: “But when ye shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand)” Luke's Report TELLS US PLAINLY what we're supposed to "UNDERSTAND": “And WHEN YE SHALL SEE JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES, THEN KNOW that the DESOLATION THEREOF is nigh.” The END-TIME ANNIHILATION of JERUSALEM IS THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION!! (Mat 24:15, Luk 21:20, Mar 13:14) ..... Let's TURN ON THE NEWS and see if armies are CURRENTLY surrounding Jerusalem?? --clark

The Bride, the Lamb's Wife vs. Jezebel the Whore, the Witch

The Bride, the Lamb's Wife

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,  Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;  And [she: the holy Jerusalem] had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:  On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.  (Rev 21:9-14)”

So the bride of Christ is “that great city, the holy Jerusalem.”  The 12-part foundation represents the names of the twelve apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ. The 12 gates of the city, each with its own angel, represent the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman [Israel] clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:  And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered....  And she [Israel] brought forth a man child [Jesus Christ], who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.  And the woman [Israel] fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days [1,260 days also called "a time and times and the dividing of time"].  (Rev 12:1-6)"
Verse 14 continues:
"And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”

As shown above The House of Israel and  The Church will be one:the Lamb's wife.” When the Apostle Paul was teaching: “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it” he also said:

“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Eph 5:31-32)”

When one of the seven angels (which had the seven vials) showed John “the bride, the Lamb's wife,”  John was “carried away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and [the angel showed him] that great city, the holy Jerusalem.” John reported:

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. (Rev 21:9-22)”

Jesus prayed for all believers when he prayed these words to our Father in Heaven:

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are oneI in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. (John 17: 20-23)”

The Marriage of Jesus Christ, to His bride results in the Holy union of Israel, the Church, the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb.

We now see plainly what “woman” God loves and counts as his fiancé.  She is washed from her sins in His own blood, and He “hath made us [members of His Church] kings and priests unto God and his Father.”

There is another “woman” whose goal is to deceive and captivate the very elect of God.  Unless Church-members repent, becoming one with her results in “great tribulation” and death

Church members of Thyatira were warned:

"... I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.  But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.  But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.  (Rev 2: 20-25)"

So who or what is Jezebel?:

Jezebel the Whore, the Witch
“And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many? (2Ki 9:22)”

“And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.  And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.  And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.  And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread

But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?  And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.  And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I [Jezebel] will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.  And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:  And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in is city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.  They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.  And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.  Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.

And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.  And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,  Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.  And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.  And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.  Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,  And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.  And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.  Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.

But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred upAnd he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (1Ki 21:1-26)”

I think of the spirit of Jezebel as an evil spirit. God commands us to “love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

The first sign of a Jezebel spirit appears in the 3rd Chapter of Genesis:

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (Gen 3: 1-6)"

Adam was faced with the choice of obeying God or following his rebellious wife.  According to Revelation 2: 20 Jezebel is a false profit who teaches and seduces God’s servants… the first teaching lesson (in Eden) having been:

“Ye shall not surely die”

… but God, speaking of Jezebel, says:

“I will kill her *children with death”

* children”: Greek word τκνον, teknon:
“Of anything who depends upon it, is possessed by a desire or affection for it, is addicted to it.”  (Rev. 2:23)

It seems to me that a Jezebel spirit appeared when Eve rebelled… temporarily joining herself with the devil. “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:23)

  1. JEZEBEL THE SPIRIT

In the past 29 years, since I gave my heart to the Lord, I have seen in the world and, I’m sorry to say, in the Church, the spirit of Jezebel. This spirit has ruled in most of the women, but not all. I believe this spirit comes to all women, But Thank God that some see it for what it really is and fight against it (Jezebel)… However some don’t seem to see the harm in it.

What I have seen is this spirit will come against the man in different ways:

    • First of all: When it comes to the woman it has to seduce her into accepting it. This usually happens a little at a time until it has Dominion over her. Dominion means supreme authority to govern!
    • The woman controlled by this spirit will then try to control the men in her life.
    • In most cases it will be a subtle approach.
    • If this does not work, it can become very angry.
    • The goal is to have its way.
    • This spirit is seeking an Ahab spirit to control!

I choose not to believe that any Christian wants to be controlled by an evil spirit.

God corrects us in 2 ways:

    • Chastisement = Fatherly correction.
    • Rebuke = to reprimand sharply.

In Revelation 2: 20-21 the WOMAN Jezebel was rebuked of the Lord, and the Lord gave her space to repent, but she repented NOT. At least in this case the WOMAN did not want to give up that spirit.

In Ephesians 5: 22-33 Paul is trying to show us how to have a perfect marriage. Let’s look closely at these first 4 verses:

Eph 5:22 “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.”
Eph 5:23 “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.”
Eph 5:24 “Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.”
Eph 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”

It is sad that the spirit of Jezebel wants to lock in on Verse 25. The spirit of Ahab is also willing to be locked in on Verse 25 (Ahab submits to Jezebel instead of God). A man, who is not yet mature in the Word, wants to lock in on Verses 22-24.

When real maturity comes, the marriage is made perfect. The spirits of Jezebel and Ahab have no place to live and the marriage is sanctified and cleansed “with the washing of water by the Word (v.26).”

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND, STAND… For our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he MAY devour!

  2. The Bride as Pertaining to the Time When Messiah shall be Cut Off

These brief comments concern the prophesies that say Jesus (Messiah) will be "cut-off" in the "midst" of a certain "week (interpreted as a 'week of years')." Most think this pertains to the crucifixion. I believe it means that salvation, through Jesus Christ, will be cut off sometime within the 7-Year Tribulation. My viewpoint here relates to the concept of The Father and The Son becoming "one" with The Bride as described in the above blog.

Daniel 9:26 says: "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined."

In my view this says that Messiah will be cut-off some time during the 7-Year Tribulation (69 weeks of years will have passed since 1526-27 AD). It is taught, by some, that this cutting-off is the Cross of Calvary. Perhaps there is a parallelism, but I think the prophetic meaning pertains to the Great Tribulation.

    To simplify:

"but not for himself" means Him and all who "are one with Him" So that would be:

    1. The Lamb
    2. The Lamb's Bride (Rev 21:9-14) which is in two entities combined into one:
    a. Israel
    b. The Church
    3. Our Father in Heaven.

When Messiah is cut off, The Blood of The Lamb ceases for everybody except those in the Marriage shown above. The Lamb's Bride will still be able to grow into perfection through the process of the daily sacrifice (of dying daily to one's sins), via each of our own personal relationships with Jesus Christ. This will be a time of "sealing," up until the sounding of the 7th Trump (which announces 'the rapture' of the living Christians & the resurrection of those who have "died in Christ"). All who have rejected Messiah, up until this time (Dan 9:26), will be cut-off and will ultimately be put into the bottomless pit [except some may still be left on earth after God's wrath... which wrath He will cut short "for the elects' sake"]. After the 1000 years Hell will give up it's dead for the final judgment:

"and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works (Rev 12:13)"

I believe that the "preaching" that takes place in Hell is for the inhabitants thereof to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour for the final judgment. What other reason would Jesus have for personally going to hell and preaching to it's occupants after His crucifixion?:

    • "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison... (1Pe 3:18-19)"

Hell is temporary but the lake of fire is eternal. There will come a time when Messiah's Salvation is "cut off" to us.
