Jesus answered them and GAVE THEM THE SIGN: “When ye therefore shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)...” Mark reported: “But when ye shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand)” Luke's Report TELLS US PLAINLY what we're supposed to "UNDERSTAND": “And WHEN YE SHALL SEE JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES, THEN KNOW that the DESOLATION THEREOF is nigh.” The END-TIME ANNIHILATION of JERUSALEM IS THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION!! (Mat 24:15, Luk 21:20, Mar 13:14) ..... Let's TURN ON THE NEWS and see if armies are CURRENTLY surrounding Jerusalem?? --clark

Here's a concise explanation of what I believe about Jerusalem

Jonah’s Judgment of Nineveh vs. God’s Judgment of Nineveh

Jonah had a tendency to argue, disagree, and disobey the LORD.  This rebellion brought him to a “hell experience:”

“I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.  (Jonah 2:2.  Read both chapters 1 & 2 for the full account)”

After 3 days and 3 nights the fish “vomited out Jonah upon the dry ground.”  He was given a 2nd chance to obey the LORD by going to Nineveh and preaching God’s word to them:

“And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,  Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.  So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD.   Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.  And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.  For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.  And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:  But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.  Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.  (Jonah 3:1-10)”

Jonah prophesied to Nineveh that God would destroy them in forty days.  God instead had mercy and stayed His hand.  Jonah did not like being wrong and he did not agree with the LORD’s change of plans.  Jonah was very happy when God’s mercy caused the fish to spit him back into life, but he did not share in God’s mercy toward the people of Nineveh.  Apparently he still was hoping for the city’s punishment even after God had changed His Mind:

“So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.  And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.  But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.  And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.  And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:  And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle? (Jonah 4:5-11)

Nineveh was a city of over 120,000 people.  How many similar places exist in today’s world… where the people “cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand?”

The Bride, the Lamb's Wife vs. Jezebel the Whore, the Witch

The Bride, the Lamb's Wife

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,  Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;  And [she: the holy Jerusalem] had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:  On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.  (Rev 21:9-14)”

So the bride of Christ is “that great city, the holy Jerusalem.”  The 12-part foundation represents the names of the twelve apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ. The 12 gates of the city, each with its own angel, represent the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman [Israel] clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:  And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered....  And she [Israel] brought forth a man child [Jesus Christ], who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.  And the woman [Israel] fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days [1,260 days also called "a time and times and the dividing of time"].  (Rev 12:1-6)"
Verse 14 continues:
"And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”

As shown above The House of Israel and  The Church will be one:the Lamb's wife.” When the Apostle Paul was teaching: “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it” he also said:

“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Eph 5:31-32)”

When one of the seven angels (which had the seven vials) showed John “the bride, the Lamb's wife,”  John was “carried away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and [the angel showed him] that great city, the holy Jerusalem.” John reported:

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. (Rev 21:9-22)”

Jesus prayed for all believers when he prayed these words to our Father in Heaven:

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are oneI in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. (John 17: 20-23)”

The Marriage of Jesus Christ, to His bride results in the Holy union of Israel, the Church, the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb.

We now see plainly what “woman” God loves and counts as his fiancé.  She is washed from her sins in His own blood, and He “hath made us [members of His Church] kings and priests unto God and his Father.”

There is another “woman” whose goal is to deceive and captivate the very elect of God.  Unless Church-members repent, becoming one with her results in “great tribulation” and death

Church members of Thyatira were warned:

"... I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.  But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.  But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.  (Rev 2: 20-25)"

So who or what is Jezebel?:

Jezebel the Whore, the Witch
“And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many? (2Ki 9:22)”

“And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.  And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.  And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.  And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread

But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?  And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.  And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I [Jezebel] will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.  And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:  And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in is city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.  They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.  And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.  Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.

And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.  And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,  Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.  And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.  And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.  Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,  And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.  And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.  Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.

But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred upAnd he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (1Ki 21:1-26)”

I think of the spirit of Jezebel as an evil spirit. God commands us to “love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

The first sign of a Jezebel spirit appears in the 3rd Chapter of Genesis:

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (Gen 3: 1-6)"

Adam was faced with the choice of obeying God or following his rebellious wife.  According to Revelation 2: 20 Jezebel is a false profit who teaches and seduces God’s servants… the first teaching lesson (in Eden) having been:

“Ye shall not surely die”

… but God, speaking of Jezebel, says:

“I will kill her *children with death”

* children”: Greek word τκνον, teknon:
“Of anything who depends upon it, is possessed by a desire or affection for it, is addicted to it.”  (Rev. 2:23)

It seems to me that a Jezebel spirit appeared when Eve rebelled… temporarily joining herself with the devil. “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:23)

Jacob's Trouble

Jacob’s Trouble

We are currently editing this article.

The introduction follows:

Most evangelical Christians believe, that in the last seven years, we will experience the period we call The Great Tribulation.  Most modern-day religious Jews (primarily Tribe of Judah) do not use or understand the New Testament.  Most have not yet accepted their Messiah Jesus Christ.  Their Hebrew Torah is translated from the same records that make up the Old Testament of our Christian Bible.  Acknowledging the prophesies of the Torah, these Jews teach and understand that they will soon be facing this Great Tribulation:

Jewish Torah, Jeremiah Chapter 30 יִרְמְיָהוּ :

“The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying:  'Thus speaketh the LORD, the God of Israel, saying: Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.  For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will turn the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.'

And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah. For thus saith the LORD: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child; wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it; and it is a time of trouble unto Jacob, but out of it shall he be saved." (v.1-7)

The Christian King James translation calls this: “the time of Jacob's trouble” (Jer 30:7)”:

The scripture very plainly states that this “time of Jacob's trouble” pertains to both the Jews (Judah) and the entirety of Israel:

“these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah”

The scripture says “it is a time of trouble unto Jacob, but out of it shall he [Jacob] be saved.”  Jacob is Israel:  All 12 Tribes!  Currently, in 2010 A.D. all Tribes, except for part of Judah, are scattered.

Below I will show, among other things, how the last-day prophesies teach us that the entire world is now facing The Great Tribulation.  I also will show how and when The Lord will stop scattering, and “save” 12,000 members from each of the 12 Tribes during the Tribulation.  I’ll also show that the 144,000 Israelites will be saved and sealed as they walk the earth during The Tribulation… all remaining born-again Christians (who are sealed by the Holy Spirit), both alive and dead, will be raptured/resurrectedat the last [7th] trump.”

About 536 BC (KJV, Daniel Chapter 10) the Angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel in a vision.  Daniel collapsed flat to the ground in fear.  Gabriel strengthened and encouraged him.  The angel explained how he and another angel ("Michael, one of the chief princes") had been fighting together against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Then Gabriel spoke a single sentence to Daniel and again he collapsed to the ground.  The words were:

"Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. (Dan 10:14)"

Daniel's “people” consist of the same people mentioned above by Jeremiah, namely:  Jacob, more exactly described as "the 12 Tribes of the House of Israel."  Daniel was about to be told, by God's angel Gabriel, what would happen to these 12 Tribes in the last days... again, the angel spoke, saying:

“I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth…”

Daniel still could not handle the stress…about 14 years later (about 522-521 BC) Daniel was given another chance.  Gabriel again returned to Daniel:

“Yea, whiles I [Daniel] was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning [see above], being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.  And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.  (Dan 9:21-22)”

Here Daniel is shown “The 70 Weeks [weeks of years] Vision” (Dan 9: 24-27).  The end of this vision (v.27) describes the final Seven Years (containing the Great Tribulation):

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

Read it again with my added emphasis:

And he [“Messiah the Prince”] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week [7 years] : and in the midst of the week [7 years] he [“Messiah the Prince”] shall cause the sacrifice[God’s sacrifice] and the oblation [Gods oblation] to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it [“thy holy city” Jerusalem] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. [Israel’s “holy city” Jerusalem will be completely, utterly, and altogether annihilated at the end of the Great Tribulation.]

This particular vision occurred “In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes (Dan 9:1).”  We need to jump ahead to Chapters 11 & 12 to read the remainder of this vision.  Chapters 11 & 12 & 9 are dated the same:

Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.  And now will I shew thee the truth. Dan 11:1-2)”

By this time Daniel had been waiting 14 years to “understand what shall befall thy people [12 Tribes of Israel] in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. (Dan 10:14).”  Chapter 11 details the rise of the antichrist.  Chapter 12 focuses on the Great Tribulation:

“there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people [All 12 Tribes of Israel] shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”

In verse 6 one of the angels asks:  “How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?”

To be continued...

The Seven Churches of The Book of Revelation

I wrote this paper some time in the late 1990s

Put simply:
Christ's Chuch can be divided into 7 types.

Temple/Jerusalem will be utterly destroyed:

Luk 21:20: And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Mic 3:12:   Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

Jer 7:30-34:   For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.  And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.  Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.  And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.  Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

Jer 19:13-15:   And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.  Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD'S house; and said to all the people,  Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.

I Received a 2nd Witness of Prophecy Understandings!

The following report may sound "far-fetched" but it is true:

One day in late summer of 2009 I was sitting at my office desk.  I had tuned my television to FoxNews and was getting ready to watch The O’Reilly Factor.  Suddenly the TV changed channels without me doing a thing.  Appearing on-screen was an enthusiastic Christian preacher who was dressed in traditional Jewish attire.  He was talking about end-times Bible prophecy.  Well, I was trying to watch The O’Reilly Factor so I changed the TV back.  I wrote this off as some kind of fluke (such as my grandkids accidentally recording a channel by mistake).

Well, a week later…yes you guessed it… this dude, with all the Jewish clothing and symbolism, popped back onto my TV while I was trying to watch FoxNews!  This time I watched and prayed.

As you might know: some of my understanding of Bible prophecy is unique... not exactly lined up with the main-stream evangelical ideas.  This man, who is known as a Messianic Rabbi, over a 21 episode television series, provided me with a 2nd witness and Scriptural verification for practically every prophecy interpretation that I had been given to date.  I also learned many things that were new..

I am giving you 3 links (YouTube videos) below.  Please do not pay attention to this man’s clothes.  Don’t worry about any of these Jewish customs or observances. Just listen to what he is saying.

His name is Kirt Schneider.  He is a Messianic Jew who accepts and teaches Jesus Christ as Lord, King and Savior!

His series is called:

Let's Begin... Last Day Bible Prophecy

I have been interested in Bible prophecy since 1972 but in June 2008 I received some kind of a huge wake-up call.  I started praying more intently and the Bible prophecies started making sense to me!  In the fall of 2008 the world banks seemed to be collapsing and armies were definitely starting to surround Jerusalem (just 2 of many prophecies being fulfilled!).

Since then I have sent and received a lot of email correspondence with Christian brothers and sisters as we read and begin to understand God's last-day prophecies.  I keep going into my files and resending the same emails over and over.  A friend suggested I start my own blog for this purpose.  So here I go…

I am going to start a few threads using some of our email correspondence between me and some Christian friends as we compared our views… mostly about current Bible prophecies as it pertains to us in the here-and-now!

I am not into long-winded reading and writing!  I love it when we just get right to the point!   MUCH STUDY WEARIES ME.  In fact one of my favorite scriptures speaks of this:

“And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.  (Eccl. 12:12-13)”

So don’t worry about too much dogma… I believe God is showing us some things and we can use this forum to share with each other.

PS:  I first published this blog 7 Oct 2010.  To get started, I reached back about a year and gathered some pertinent emails and papers.  That correspondence is what I used to start these blogspots and threads.   Hopefully our collective knowledge is increasing every day.  Watch the dates on these blog-posts and see how our understanding evolved, and how it continues to evolve... we all had to start somewhere, right?
