Jesus answered them and GAVE THEM THE SIGN: “When ye therefore shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)...” Mark reported: “But when ye shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand)” Luke's Report TELLS US PLAINLY what we're supposed to "UNDERSTAND": “And WHEN YE SHALL SEE JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES, THEN KNOW that the DESOLATION THEREOF is nigh.” The END-TIME ANNIHILATION of JERUSALEM IS THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION!! (Mat 24:15, Luk 21:20, Mar 13:14) ..... Let's TURN ON THE NEWS and see if armies are CURRENTLY surrounding Jerusalem?? --clark

A CHANCE to be COVERED and SAVED

"The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,  And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.  Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.  But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:  And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.  But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.  Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.  Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to The Marriage.

==> So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, BOTH BAD AND GOOD: and the wedding was furnished with guests.  And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:  And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And HE WAS SPEECHLESS*.  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  For many are called, but few are chosen. (Mat 22:2-14)”

*Here was the opportunity for this man to receive his free Garment... but instead he was SPEECHLESS:

"The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;  That IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, and shalt BELIEVE in thine HEART that GOD HATH RAISED HIM from the DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and WITH the MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION.  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.  For WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED. (Rom 10:8-13)"

GARMENT or NO-GARMENT… that’s all that matters.

Why does this Bible Prophecy Site Exist?

Welcome to www.LastDayBibleProphecy.com

I have not published these articles because I am some kind of Bible scholar... or even a teacher for that matter.  On the contrary... I am in great need of God's guidance.  Over the years, I have lost confidence in MANY of today’s Bible-prophecy “experts” and I have started over.

What you are reading is my attempt to share what I am seeing and seeking.  I am reading the King James Bible and taking it at face value.  I am putting down what it says and I’m comparing it to other scriptures and to current world events.

Some of this is amazingly different than contemporary teachings.  Please look at the specific scriptures that I will be referring to and ask the LORD to show you/us The Truth of it.  WHAT IS GOD TELLING US IN THESE LAST DAYS?  What do these scriptures mean and how can we HONESTLY apply them to our current place and time?

Maybe you are about to see a scripture described differently than what you are accustomed.  Please don’t turn away.  Instead help us, in the name of Jesus, so we may know the Truth:

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them. (Mat 18:20)”

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. (2Ti 2:15)”

“Whom shall He teach knowledge? and whom shall He make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little... (Isa 28:9-10)”

Thy Seed Shall Be As the Dust of the Earth

God spoke to Jacob:

"And, behold, the LORD stood above it [the ladder of Jacob’s dream], and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.  (Gen 28:13-15)"

Jacob is the father of the 12 Tribes of Israel.  Previously God made a similar promise to his grandfather Abraham:

“Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be. (Gen 15:5)”

Since Abraham, I don’t think any human has been capable of being “able to number” the stars.  What about the dust of the earth?

“Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? (Isa 40:12)”

We cannot comprehend or measure “the dust of the earth” but we can arrive at an estimation.  I have read that one typical particle of dust weighs about 10 nanograms.  Let’s do some math:

A trillion nanograms equals one gram.  So a gram would contain about 100 billion dust particles. 1 pound = 453.59237 grams.  453.59237 x 100 billion = 46.36 Trillion dust particles per pound. Only one ton of earth would contain:

92.720 Quadrillion dust particles (92,720,000,000,000,000)

The Mass or Weight of Earth is about 6,592,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons (6.6 sextillion tons). So:

92,720,000,000,000,000 x 6,592,000,000,000,000,000,000 =

611,210,240,000,000,000,000,000,000 Total Dust Particles in the Earth
(That puts Jacob’s seed at about 611.2 Septillion people)

It is estimated that, since Adam and Eve, 300 Billion* total souls have been born into this earth.  At that rate, Jacob’s additional seed of 611.2 Septillion people would re-populate the earth an additional 2,037,367,466,666,667 times!

To summarize:
God told Jacob (Israel) that his seed (his descendants) would be spread, in all directions, and would be numbered as the dust of the earth. It is estimated that 300 Billion* total souls have been born to this earth since the Garden of Eden.  Using simple math I estimated the total particles of earth-dust and divided that number by the 300 Billion.  That number is about:

Two Quintillion People (2,037,367,466,666,667).  “We can estimate the number of stars in our galaxy (Milky Way) as roughly 100 billion** (100,000,000,000).”  If we gave each star (each solar system) 300 billion (like this solar system) we still would need to come up with over 20,000 more galaxies before we finished filling them with Jacob’s seed!

Now if we think those numbers are big (and assuming the Universe is Infinite) ... then God’s promise to Jacob’s grandfather Abraham is even bigger yet:

“Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be. (Gen 15:5)”

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." (1Co 2:9)

Our Marriage to Christ

Most are saying that these last-day-controversies are not critical to our Christian Salvation.  Even so, Jesus Himself makes a big deal out of them.  To the seven segments of His Church only 2 (2/7ths) are without our Lord's chastisement.  He warns the remaining 5/7ths:

==> To Ephesus:

"Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Rev 2:4-5)"

==> To Pergamos:

"But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.  So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.  Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. (Rev 2:14-16)"

==> To Thyatira:

"...Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.   And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. (Rev 2: 20-23)"

==> To Sardis:

"And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.  Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. (Rev 3:1-3)"

==> To the Laodiceans:

"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:   I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.  (Rev 3 15-19)"

YES, this is our Lord Jesus Christ speaking to us: His Church!  He rebukes and chastens us BECAUSE HE LOVES US:  "Be zealous therefore, and repent!"

The repentance He calls for here is not a yoke of bondage.  The burden is light and easy to bear.  As His Church, let's open this Book of Revelation and read these 2 chapters (2 and 3).  Above I have listed His rebukes.  We need to read these in context, alongside the rebukes are wonderful blessings from our Lord and King!  These 2 chapters are part of THE BRIDEGROOM'S preparation-message... where we, the fiancĂ©, ARE BEING ASKED TO PREPARE  OURSELVES FOR THE MARRIAGE!

Bible Versions Compared on "70 Weeks of Daniel"

Below is a comparison showing how the New International Version (NIV) differs from the King James Version (KJV). We are specifically looking at the 9th Chapter of Daniel. The differences are drastic.

NIV: Red
KJV:  Black
Clark’s Comment: Purple

Dan 9:2:

“In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.”

“in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.”

NIV changed plural desolations of Jerusalem into a single event and they removed Daniel’s statement saying: “that He [The LORD Himself] would accomplish … the desolations.  Gabriel explains to Daniel that these are not simply 70 years, but rather weeks (of years):

Dan 9:24:

“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people [Israel] and upon thy holy city [Jerusalem], to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.”

"Seventy 'sevens'  are decreed for your people [Israel] and your holy city [Jerusalem] to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.”

Israel is given 490 years to finish the transgression.  This one transgression is that they have rejected their Messiah.  In the Last Days, God has allotted them 490 years to receive JESUS CHRIST as their Lord, Savior, and King … but NIV turns the meaning into a general “transgression” (meaning many transgressions).  Israel is to use this time for reconciliation for iniquity.” Reconciliation is defined as “re-establishing a relationship.”  The Lord is allowing Israel to return to their Messiah but the NIV is saying they (Israel) need to perform their own atonement.

Dan 9:25:

“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

"Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.”

KJV speaks of building JerusalemUNTO the Messiah.”  Literally, this will be fulfilled only once:  at the sounding of the Seventh Trump (Rev 11:15; Jer 3:17; Rev 14:1-4).  But NIV removes “unto” and changes it to “until” changing the text to an entirely different context.  NIV says “it (Jerusalem) will be rebuilt with streets and a trench” but KJV only tells us that “the street” is “built again” and also “the wall” during this time of trouble… saying nothing about a trench.

Dan 9:26:

“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.” *(see Footnote below)

“After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing.  The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.*(see Footnote below)

This time is after the 7 weeks and after the 62 weeks (69 total), which means we are within the final week of years (the final seven years of man’s time).  KJV tells us that during this time Messiah will be cut off but not for Himself.”  I believe this simply means that “the times of the Gentiles” is hereby fulfilled (Luke 21:24).  Salvation is cut off, but not to God’s elect (His Bride as described in Rev 21:9-14).  NIV removes but not for Himself” and changes it to say:  He “will have nothing.”  That makes no sense!  KJV says the time of the gentiles destroying Jerusalem will end with a flood.”  NIV says it “will come like a flood.”  KJV says that desolations are determined” “unto the end of the war.”  NIV simply tells us that war will continue until the endand the “desolations (of Jerusalem) are no longer determined “unto the end” (as KJV states).

Dan 9:27:

And HE [Messiah the Prince]

He [NIV wants us to believe this is the antichrist]

V. 27 Continued:

shall confirm THE [One and Only] COVENANT with many [both Gentiles and Israelites] for one week

will confirm a [one (of some/many)] covenant with many for one 'seven.'

V. 27 Continued:

and in the midst of [somewhere within] the week He [Messiah the Prince] shall cause THE Sacrifice and the Oblation [the One and Only True Sacrifice/True Oblation] to cease [“but not for Himself Not for His marriage with HIS BRIDE, aka His Elect (as described in Rev 21:9-14). “The times of the Gentiles” is hereby “fulfilled” and God’s promise to gather scattered Israel escalates],

In the middle [different than “in the midst of”] of the ‘seven’ he [antichrist] will put an end to sacrifice and offering [This speaks generally, allowing for multiple sacrifices and oblations while KJV speaks of only one]

V. 27 Continued:

and for the overspreading of abominations [because of the extensive and increasing evil of the people of Jerusalem] He [Messiah the Prince] shall make it [Daniel’s Holy City Jerusalem] desolate, (see * and ** Footnotes below)]

And on a wing of the temple he [antichrist] will set up an abomination that causes desolation [NIV inserts this phrase which has no semblance to the KJV!  The above KJV desolation is God’s punishment upon Jerusalem because of the overspreading of abominations.  NIV completely removes that explanation from the text.  Then NIV, in this final portion of mankind’s last seven years, inserts The Abomination of Desolation.  Jesus, Daniel, and Apostle John have already taught us that the A of D occurs toward the early portion of the Tribulation… not toward the end, as NIV is teaching here],

V. 27 Continued:

even until the consummation, [the desolation by Messiah the Prince will continue upon Jerusalem unto the ultimate fulfillment.]

[NIV leaves this out]

and that determined [the final of the desolations “determined” in verse 26 above] shall be poured upon the desolate.”

until the end that is decreed is poured out on him [antichrist]." [as in the above phrase, NIV inserts this phrase which has no semblance to the KJV!]

(Footnotes):
*
The Lord has Determined Desolations for Jerusalem (by both men and God):

“And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. (Luk 21:20)”

“And when He [Jesus] was come near, He beheld the city [Jerusalem], and wept over it,   Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.  For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee [Jerusalem] one stone upon another…( Luk 19:41-44)”

“And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her [Jerusalem’s] land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein. And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. (Eze 12:19-20)”

“For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?  Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it. (Eze 14:21-22)”

And what does the Lord do after these desolations of Jerusalem (where He rescued the remnant)?

“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.  And I will set My face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set My face against them.  And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD. (Eze 15:6-8)

For Jerusalem, The LORD has determined that His desolations shall be poured upon desolations.  This is what Daniel 9:27 is saying with the KJV, but the NIV does not even come close.

**The "desolations" of Jerusalem are plural. By my count, throughout time, 3 such desolations are by men's armies (2 have occurred & A of D is about to occur any day), with the final 2 being by the Hand of The Lord:
  1. C. 587 BC: 2Ki 25:9
  2. 70 AD
  3. Abomination of Desolation: Luke 19:44 & 21:20
  4. God, before 7th Trump: Eze 14:21-23 & 15:6-8& Rev 11:13
  5. God, during 7th Trump: Eze 15:6-8 & Dan 9:27
